Public Hearing Notice
May 13, 2008
The Committee on Law and Government of the Council of the City of Philadelphia
will hold a Public Hearing Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400,
City Hall, to hear testimony on the following item:
080424 An Ordinance amending Title 2 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled
"City-County Consolidation," by adding a new Chapter providing that prior to the
recording of any deed, a check of record ownership be conducted by the
Department of Records, appropriate documentation be submitted to the Department
with certain deeds and requirements for the delivery of deeds to the Department
of Records be met; providing for notification to the record owner of the
recording of any deed; providing for exemptions and making certain technical
changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Law and
Government, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken
on the above listed item.
Copies of the foregoing item are available in the Office of the Chief Clerk of
the Council, Room 402, City Hall.
