The following are the titles of Bills introduced in City Council on May 22, 2008
Bill No. 080523: An Ordinance amending Chapter 10-700 of The Philadelphia Code,
entitled Refuse and Littering, by amending Section 10-703, entitled Placement of
Litter in Receptacles, by prohibiting the disposal of household or commercial
refuse in public receptacles; by amending Section 10-718, entitled Enforcement,
and Section 10-719, entitled Penalties, by providing for enforcement and
penalties for violations; by further amending Section 10-718 and Section 10-719
to increase the amount to be remitted and increase the penalties for violations
of Section 10-702, relating to littering in public places; and by making certain
technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
Bill No. 080524: An Ordinance amending Section 12-918 of The Philadelphia Code,
entitled Parking for Car Sharing Organizations, by adding locations, all under
certain terms and conditions.
Bill No. 080525: An Ordinance constituting the Ninth Supplemental Ordinance to
the Amended and Restated General Airport Revenue Bond Ordinance; authorizing the
Mayor, the City Controller and the City Solicitor, or a majority of them, to
issue and sell one or more series of Airport Revenue Bonds of the City of
Philadelphia; designating the obligations to be refunded from certain proceeds
of such Airport Revenue Bonds; setting forth the use of proceeds; providing for
the pledge of certain passenger facility charges solely for bonds which refund
the Airport Revenue Bonds, Series 1998B; determining the sufficiency of pledged
Amounts Available for Debt Service; covenanting for the payment of interest and
principal; authorizing the Bond Committee to take certain action with regard to
the terms and conditions of the Airport Revenue Bonds and related agreements and
the elections under the Amended and Restated General Airport Revenue Bond
Ordinance; authorizing the Director of Finance to take certain actions with
regard to the sale of such Airport Revenue Bonds, the investment of the proceeds
thereof and the Citys continuing disclosure obligation; and specifying
applicability of sections of The First Class City Revenue Bond Act and the
Amended and Restated General Airport Revenue Bond Ordinance.
Bill No. 080526: An Ordinance amending Section 19-1804 of The Philadelphia Code,
entitled Authorization of Net Income Tax, by revising the rate of tax, under
certain terms and conditions.
Bill No. 080527: An Ordinance amending Section 14-2007 of The Philadelphia Code,
entitled Historic Buildings, Structures, Sites, Objects and Districts, to permit
the historic designation of the public interior portion of buildings, and making
technical changes, all under certain terms and conditions.
Bill No. 080528: An Ordinance amending Section 9-407 of The Philadelphia Code,
entitled Tour Passenger Carriers, by removing the east side of Sixth Street
between Market and Arch Streets as a tour passenger loading zoning location and
adding the west side of Fifth Street between Chestnut and Market Streets as a
tour passenger loading zone location, all under certain terms and conditions.
