*** ACTION ALERT *** S T O P Senate Bill 1100
Tuesday, June 25, 2002

This bill carries an amendment to define and limit the rights of community organizations in the City of Philadelphia to appeal decisions of the Zoning Board.

This amendment is a direct result of pressure from the billboard industry and gives them special protections from legal challenges by community groups. A person must live near the site to have legal standing to challenge the zoning variance.

ACT NOW - This bill could be voted as early as Wednesday, June 26. The General Assembly recesses for the summer on Friday, June 28, 2002.

What's wrong with this bill?:

Simply state who you are, where you live and that you want Harrisburg to stop "SB 1100" and strike its amendment to limit the rights of community groups to act on behalf of residents.

Thanks for your help. Together we can make a difference!
