Subject:   Casinos: No Way without Our Say!

Dear Elected Officials:

I call on you to support the efforts underway by concerned
citizens to halt th process in which casinos have been thrust
upon the city without public input. The petitions, lawsuits, and
public outcry are the signs of an outraged citizenry. I ask you
to join us and raise your voice as well against the way these
casinos have come into our community.

Subject:   Casinos: No Way without Our Say!

Dear Elected Officials:
I have worked on the Philadelphia waterfront for the past 34
years. Not only has this job provided me and my family with a
home, education, recreation and medical benefits,it has afforded
us accruing pension entitlement towards our hard-earned
retirement.
I am writing to voice my concerns regarding the hastily
expedited plans to allow the development of industrial sites
for use by casinos. Such exploitation of waterfront propertioes
will have a severe impact on our industry and jeopardizes our
very existence. I believe the high level of taxes my job has
paid to the city and the state requires all of our public
officials to protect our interests and compels you to get
involved so that the necessary and proper planning can take
place to insure our livelihood.
I ask that you use all of your legislative powers to delay any
further progress regarding casino development until you can
assure the 45,000 blue-collar employees on the waterfront their
jobs and families will be protected
I would appreciate your responding to my letter in writing. I
would also like to request a Meeting with you to address this
most serious matter in person. I can be reached at 215 901 5772.
Thank you in advance for your support
Sincerely,

Philip Renzi

Dear Elected Officials:

I am against the passage of Act 71 and demand to have my voice heard. No
one asked us if we wanted to have casinos in our neighborhoods. Please tell
me what action you are going to take, on my behalf, to right this wrong. It's a
bad idea all around. Please listen to us.

Sincerely,

Dr. Eve Friedman
