Dear Ms. Woodcock:
I think that what is going on here is one of the saddest things to happen to
PHILADELHIA in a long time. We need your organization for information regarding
this very imporant issue. You know all, and we know nothing!
Please post Foxwoods' Plan of Development on the Planning Commission web site
immediately.
Based on past history, I am concerned that the Commission will not provide the
public with a meaningful opportunity to comment on Foxwoods’ proposal. When the
Commission considered the SugarHouse Casino in May, it asked neighbors to
comment on a Plan which was made public only after the Commission had voted to
approve it.
It is not fair to ask residents to respond to a plan of development if they aren't given
sufficient time to review that plan. If a casino were going in your neighborhood,
would a handful of days be enough time for you to review a project of this size and
potential destructiveness?
Most sincerely... Jim Graham

I cannot find Foxwood plans on your website. No one seems to want to engage the
community in this project. I had thought that the Philadelphia Magazine Article might
have been a little harsh. Now I think it didn't go far enough.

Dear Ms. Woodcock:
whats up you feel that people have no right to know the
foxwoods plan or are you on their payroll....I mean do you want
Philadelphia to become a ghost town because that will happen
with these two casinios coming in (sugarhouse will be bigger
than King of Prussia Mall) on Delaware Ave (columbus blvd)
Am I being too harsh here, I am trying along with countless
other people to prevent our city from bad decisions with no
reard for the people living near these two areas,,,but courts
and legisltators who live out of the area feel they know better,
Yes we need jobes,,,but put those two casinos near the airport
or at an Abandoned navy yard site, away from
residents,churches,and Schools with 1500 feet...be a self
contained entaimerment center with shops, casinos, movie
theature, the whole works..
If these two casinosn move where to be,,,,80 perecent of people
will move,,,,then how will the city thrive with no people..
High homicide rates, social ills, graffetti up again, and etc
and this is before casinoos..
Please help ..let the people let their imput in for the plan for
Foxwood...already they tried to reduce their tax liabitiliy and
lost,,,not a good company,,,something up ,,,if you chose not to
let the public know,,,maybe an investigation is in order..
sorry again for the harsh stuff but PHILLY IS MY CITY
Live in the city for a week or so,,,,look at the traffic now
with no casinos,,,I cannot cross the street safely...no regard
for stop signs and lights,,,this is before casionos..who will
pay for harmed tourists and residents ,,wheres the money.. we
cannnot handle 34, 000 more cars in....
please help
again my address is 623 s americian st c

Can you help us answer a few qestions?
When was the Plan of Development submitted by Foxwoods?
2. How many pages are in the plan?
3. How much time has the Planning Commission staff spent
studying
the Foxwoods Plan of Development?
4. How much time have the eight members of the Planning
Commission
spent studying the Foxwoods Plan of Development?
5. How much time, if any, will the Commission give the
public to
review the Plan BEFORE its meeting on July 17, 2007?
6. Why didn't the Commission release Foxwoods' Plan of
Development
to the public when it decided last week to consider
Foxwoods'
Plan?
7. Of the $3 million the Planning Commission receives
annually from
City taxpayers, how much money was spent on informing
taxpaying
residents about the SugarHouse and Foxwoods plans?
Thank you very much for your attention to this.

Dear Ms. Woodcock:
I live two blocks south of the proposed site. I believe if you had a property this close
to the proposed casino site, you too would be more than eager to see what the city was
planning. The secrecy only adds to a HUGE level of distrust. I and several others
would not be beyond exiting this city. I a here for the neighborhood, not a carnival of
gambling, prostitution, mugging, theft, vandalism, and various addictions that come
with this type of horrible horrible plan. If I had a child I would be out of here already.
Thank goodness i don't. I really pity my neighbors who are left with limited incomes
and no choice. You have a choice. Choose the logical and honest one. I am certain
those who voted for you all were expecting at least THIS much.
