Dear City Council & Mayor Street:
We, as condo owners, pay property taxes, just as our neighbors
less than 100 feet away do. We see the trash truck pick up
their trash every week, like clockwork, however, we pay
thousands of dollars a year to a private trash company to pick
up our trash, we pay our taxes but receive no benefits for them,
we are not asking for snow removal (as our neighbors) just our
trash, it would certainly help our costs. Thank You.

I feel that myself and every condo owner should be considered
as an equal stakeholder in the Philadelphia community. We
should not be penalized for making our homes in vertical
Philadelphia. We pay taxes we deserve service! How much more
blood can you squeeze from a stone?

I am angered that I do not receive city trash collection at our
condo building even though I am paying this through my taxes as
a Philadelphia resident. In addition, I am paying condo fees
for private trash collection. This should not be the case. We
should receive city trash collection and not be required to have
private collection. Please see that this is changed ASAP!

angered to know that I pay (through taxes) for trash collection
and do not receive benefit from the service as our condominium
is required to have private trash collection, which I also pay
for in my condo dues. I would like to see this changed
immediately!

in the regular pickup of trash by the city's sanitation

I am a dedicated and longtime resident of the City of
Philadelphia. I pay gladly pay both my property and wage taxes
and volunteer to improve life in this great city.

In turn, I expect the laws under which I live to be fair. The
current law restricting trash collection at condominium units
such as the one I live in is obviously unfair. My property tax
and wage taxes should entitle me to the same services enjoyed
by other homeowners and renters in the city. I therefore urge
you to overturn this law by passing bill 010659.

Those of us in cooperatives deserve the same services as single-
family homeowners. We pay for trash collection through our
taxes. We have shown our faith in Philadelphia for over 20
years. We moved into the city long before it was popular to do
so. Saving us from having to pay for private trash collection
is a way that our elected officials can recognize our faith in
Philadelphia.
