Subject:   Thank you for standing up to Foxwoods

Dear Tax Assessors:

Thank you for not letting Foxwoods get away with what they
attempted. The ONLY good that comes out of casinos are jobs and
revenue. So what's the first thing Foxwoods does; it attempts a
free ride. And does this before they have even broken ground!
All they care about is making money.

Again, thank you for not letting it happen.

Subject:   Thank you for standing up to Foxwoods

Dear Tax Assessors:

Thank you for respecting common fairness and putting the rule of
law to work for all Philadelphians. You have denied Foxwoods
Casino's outrageous request for huge cuts in its fair share of
property taxes. This multimillion dollar business must live by
the same rules which govern all taxpayers. You told them so and
we taxpayers appreciate your courage in doing so! God Bless the
wise and just use of your authority. Thank you again for placing
average Philadelphians in a permanent position of pride that our
government worked for all of us this time, not just for the
wealthy and well connected few.

Sincerely,

Joseph Bridy, AIA

Dear members of the Board of Revision of Taxes:

Casino a tax cut that they do not need or deserve. I appreciate
your wisdom and integrity.

Dear Tax Assessors:

Thank you for not letting Foxwoods intimidate the BRT. This
was a test case. If BRT had caved the casino industry would
have been emboldened to ask for ever more write-offs in their
quest to rip-off the Commonwealth.

Subject:   Thank you for standing up to Foxwoods

Dear Tax Assessors:
Thank you for voiting that Foxwoods pay their fair share since
as rullings are happening all over the place against the tax
payers wishers, for the casinios not to be where they are to be
due to social and traffic ills which injuries will be paid by
the taxpayers themselves and that means higher taxes on the
city not the state . The city will get all the negatives and
nothing of the positive but will have to pay for all the
tourists and other folks not getting the protectin they need.
Thanks again

Dear Tax Assessors:

By telling Foxwoods Casino's that THEY must bear their "fair"
share of the City's tax burden" you insisted they live by "our"
rules!

THANKS FOR YOUR COURAGE IN THE FACE OF ALL THE STATE'S PRESSURE.

Dear Tax Assessors and all you other politicians:

The Board of Revision of Taxes is commended for its decision to
insist that Foxwoods pay its fair share of taxes. All residents
of Philadelphia have become winners in this decision, especially
considering that the Foxwoods proposal to build a casino in the
city was so cruelly imposed on Philadelphians by state
government officials controlled by greedy behind-the-scene
lobbyists and attorneys. Since the majority of Philadelphia
residents of various social and economic backgrounds are
obligated to pay often exhorbitant taxes, the large profits
generated by a gaming business that rakes in money from mostly
hard working individuals should contribute its fair share of
taxes to the city.

I appreciate what you have done... Is there anyway that you can
get the rest of the politicians and courts to listen to the
residences of this city????

Thanks again for doing the right thing!

Dear Tax Assessors:

Thank you for Saying No To Foxwoods' Demand For a 90% Property
Tax Cut!
I appreciate your ethically denying Foxwoods Casino's request
for huge tax cuts and making clear that the same rules apply to
them, as to all other taxpayers.

Best regards,

Michael Wakely

Dear Tax Assessors:
Thank you so very much for having made the right decision for
Philadelphia. For a while we considered this a "no-win" issue,
and we are more than glad to admit that we were wrong. United,
we can make a difference: it was a hard-fought battle, and we
won. At this time, it is important that we acknowledge all your
efforts and hard work on behalf of a city we love so much.

Thank you once more: you sure did the right thing!
