APPROVAL OF SUMMARY OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 11, 2000
The Commission voted to approve the summary of the meeting held October 11,
2000.
REPORT OF FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Chair reported there were no action items for Commission.
NLREEP program administrator
The President recognized and thanked Nancy Goldenberg, Program Administrator of
NLREEP, for her service to the Commission.
REPORT OF NATURAL LANDS PROGRAM COMMITTEE
The Chair reported there were no action items for Commission.
REPORT OF PLANNING COMMITTEE
The Chair reported for information that Committee received an update from
Philadelphia Youth Tennis regarding the design of the facility at Gustine Lake.
REPORT OF PROPERTY COMMITTEE
Committee voted to approve the recommendation of the Property Committee:
To approve the request of the Fairmount Park Preservation Trust to extend the
property boundary of the Sheep Barn adjacent to Ridgeland Mansion.
REPORT OF THE DESIGNEE TO LOUDOUN MANSION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Commission received the report of Commissioner Robert N.C. Nix III, Designee
to the Loudoun Mansion Board of Directors.
REPORT OF THE DESIGNEE TO THE MANN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
The Commission received the report of Commissioner Robert N.C. Nix III, Designee
to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts Association Board of Directors.
REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR OF FAIRMOUNT PARK
The Fairmount Park Commission received the report of William E. Mifflin,
Executive Director of Fairmount Park.
REPORT OF THE FAIRMOUNT PARK COMMISSION ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Fairmount Park Commission received the report of Dr. Dominic De Bias,
President, The Fairmount Park Advisory Council.

Commissioner Ballard recommended a book which compares twelve different city
parks and how they are funded. Director Mifflin agreed to secure copies of the
book for each Commissioner.
NEXT COMMISSION MEETING
The next scheduled meeting of the Commission will be held on Wednesday, December
13, 2000, 3:00 p.m. in the Commission Conference Room, Memorial Hall.

The Commission adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
