Dear Representative Cutler, this is in regards to a sponsored
bill designated as ‘HB 760’ sponsored by Angel Cruz (PA, D) of
Philadelphia. This bill is nothing more than an attempt to
control guns owned by law abiding citizens. There is no way
this bill can control crime. It will only lead generating
revenue from the honest gun owners that will be squandered.
I have been handling guns since I was 8 years old. I owned my
first gun at the age of 12 when I got a shotgun to hunt small
game for my birthday. I am 47 years old and have never
committed a crime with a gun. I will be damned if I will sit
back and let someone treat me like a criminal.
We already have laws on the books to reduce and prevent crime
that are not enforced. This bill will not do any more to reduce
crime, it will only give the state another avenue to steal from
the public. I would like Mr. Cruz to prove to me without a
shadow of a doubt that this will reduce of prevent crime.
I am a registered voter and I voice my opinions at the polls.
This is an exception to the rule. I am writing to you to ask
you to do everything possible to prevent any part of this bill
from making it to law. This bill will turn the law abiding gun
owners and hunters of Pennsylvania into law breakers, they will
do everything they can to keep from registering and paying for
firearms they already own.
