Subject:   Aggressive Driving Legislation

Representative Melio: I agree with the principle of your
legislation, but I also feel that it is unnecessary in light of
existing laws. What the police need to do is begin strict
enforcement with no exceptions!!

Representative Melio,

Your suggested legislation to define and punish aggressive
drivers in Pennsylvania while is a noble sentiment, is
ludicrous. There are already upwards of 1000 laws governing
driving in Pennsylvania and this bill will do nothing, nothing!
to prevent these types of incidents.

If you seriously want to have an deterrent to "road rage" that
would actually have any effect at all on drivers in PA simply
have the authorities start enforcing the current ones. The
penalty need simply be a revoke of the license. If they are
found driving after that, our current laws are sufficient if
enforced.

It is neither your duty nor your authority to legislate common
sense or in this case lack of it.
