Dear Senator Don Walko:
We are sending you this email letter to ask that you keep closed
Pennsylvania’s state liquor stores on Christmas Eve-Sunday,
December 24 and New Year’s Eve –Sunday, December 31. I grew up
believing that Christmas Eve was a special day, in which family
reflected upon Christ and peace to mankind.
In Reference to Pennsylvania state liquor stores being opened on
New Year’s Eve, I think this would be wrong in regards to those
innocent victims of alcohol related deaths due to drunk driving
on our Pennsylvania highways; as well as sending a wrongful
message to those youths who are lectured about the
responsibility of drinking and driving.
As responsible Pennsylvanians we need to show other states that
we stand for something well worth standing against.
Thank you,
Domingo T. Collazo
