| Subject: | Please, NO casinos in Gettysburg! |
Dear Gaming Boardmembers:The Park Service and the volunteers
are already fighting an uphill battle to preserve the landscape
to which millions of visitors already come every year. It is
amazing that more commercial development has not ruined more of
the battlefield already. What a treat it is to discover that
some of it really looks like it did in 1863 and what a tribute
it is to all those who suffered and died. Put a casino
somewhere that it will not ruin a national treasure,in some
blighted inner city area that is already paved and needs to be
redeveloped not in this beautiful hallowed place. Thank you!

| Subject: | Colon Bill |
Representative Edward P. Wojnaroski ( Johnstown ) is circulating
a memo in the House looking for co-sponsors for a 3% COLA for
retired State Police Retirees.
Retirees should contact their Representatives and request they
contact Representative Wojnaroski’s office and co-sponsor this.
They can contact Ed’s Sec. Wendy Shearer at 787-7524 or
wshearer@pahouse.net. The more co-sponsors the better chance we
have.
The Memorandum reads in part, “In the near future I will be
introducing legislation to provide retired Pennsylvania State
Police with an annual 3% cost-of-living increase.
On a daily basis, Pennsylvania State Police Officers make
tremendous sacrifices in order to keep the public safe. As such,
I believe we must provide a stable and secure retirement that
mirrors their valor and acknowledges the life-threatening
experiences they were exposed to during their career.”
Send Representative Wojnaroski an email thanking him for his
efforts. I am sure he would appreciate it.
Sen. Corman, I have met you in the past at several political
events and State Police retirement parties, your dad and I were
very good friends and I have continued to support you as I did
him. I know you are one of our strongest supporter. Please
assist it sponsoring this bill, as a retired Trooper, I know how
tight things become after several years of inflation. I have
been retired since 1998 and keeping up is tough. I gave 25.5
years and gave some of my best years to servicing the
Commonwealth. Please help us, we all need the raise. Thank You
Bernard L. Chatman
