| Subject: | New Orleans refugees |
Dear Senator Musto,
I would like to know your thoughts on the refugees from New
Orleans. I see where Rep Kanjorski wants us to take in 250 people
in each district. This is very upseting to me. I feel that we
cannot afford to do this. I think we should take care of our own
citizens first.
In my work, I deal with Senior Citizens everyday. Alot of them
are afraid they are going to lose their homes because of the high
taxes. Some have told me they can only afford to take their
medicine every other day. This is very sad.
I am speaking for myself also. I am a single person. My house
taxes are very high and what I pay for Health Care is
unbelievable. I dread the winter coming, because of the gas and
oil prices.
Do you have a solution to these problems?
Really, I don't think we can afford to bring more homeless
jobless people into this area.
I know you care deeply for the people in this area. I think they
should come first, don't you?
Thank you for reading this. I am upset and I just needed to
speak to someone about the situation.
Sincerely, JeanAnn Tramuta
