Thank you for introducing the bill to get funding for the
Science in Motion program. I just retired after 35 wonderful
years of teaching high school biology. I loved teaching and
incorporating new technologies into my classroom and was
looking for a way to share what I had learned. The "Science in
Motion" program gave me the opportunity. Almost every teacher
I see today is feeling incredible pressure trying to keep up
with all of the demands that are placed on them. Teaching is
definately harder today than it was in the past. Added to this
is the problem that science technology is moving ahead rapidly
and science teachers usually don't have the current training or
equipment to keep pace. "Science in Motion" is a cost
effective to help teachers to give the best possible science
education to their students. This program excites and inspires
everyone it touches. What a sin it would be if "Science in
Motion" died for lack of funding. If I can be of any help in
your efforts to obtain funding, please contact me.
Thanks,
Ron Faust
