Subject:   The Budget! Tell us this is a joke, right?!

Governor Rendell, Senator Vance and Representative Gabig,

I implore you, please, please tear the Governor's budget
proposal to shreds the very second you are able to do so.

Governor Rendell got his wish. He brought gambling to
Pennsylvania, however, I may add...thanks to No Casino
Gettysburg and the CWPT and countless others, Gettysburg was
spared. But...he got gambling here. Now...isn't the gambling
revenue supposed to relieve our property tax burdens? What
happened to that idea? In the first 8 months of that first PA
casino being opened, didn't it rake in something to the tune of
180 million dollars? Where is that money? What is he doing
with it? How are we to stay informed of how much money is
being entertained away from hard working Pennsylvanians and
where it winds up? Now you want to raise taxes???

So where was this announcement prior to the election,
Governor? As if we don't know...

This is one Pennsylvanian, born and bred, who can't wait to see
your reign of terror come to an end! Do NOT raise taxes on
us! Use your casino revenues...Lord knows there will be enough
money raked in from these places to take care of business.
With gas prices, the war on terror and everything in general
becoming more and more expensive for the average gang, MIDDLE
CLASS, we can't afford your tax hike, Governor.

Senator Vance, Rep. Gabig, I trust you have our backs and will
have a hand in stopping this atrocity. Please.

Thank you.

D Costa

Subject:   You did the right thing.

Dear Gaming Boardmembers:

You did right by Gettysburg and I thank you for that.

The easy part was denying Crossroads a license because quite
frankly, it should not have been an option to begin with and we
all know it. Your true work now begins and it is my hope that
all of you charged with running this new industry in our state
keeps your eyes and ears open. I pray corruption and greed and
ignorance do not run the show when it comes to gambling in PA.
I pray you all do your jobs and keep it on the up and up. Do
not take advantage of the citizens of this state nor allow
others to do it.

Again, thank you for your no vote for Gettysburg. You
obviously listened to the people's outrage and it was the right
thing to do.

Happy Holidays to you all.

Subject:   A Favor to Ask on the Date Changes

Dear Gaming Boardmembers:

Could you please, please stop changing the dates of the
hearings? Some of us plan to attend this thing and those some
of us have to work and have children in school. It is getting
very inconvenient that you keep changing dates on the public.

With the holidays coming up, it only makes it worse.

Please keep the date now at December 4, 2006 at 330pm.

Thank you for your much needed cooperation on this matter.

Subject:   What would make you sell out an American town?

Dear Gaming Boardmembers:

What would make you sell out an American historic icon? What?
Money? Greed? Power? Corruption? Political Favors? How can
the House, how can the Senate put Gettysburg on the table? How
can you turn this into a gambling town?

Aren't you supposed to be serving the American people? Aren't
you supposed to care about what we don't want? You aren't
supposed to be serving capitalism, you're supposed to be
serving us. We put you on Capitol Hill for a reason, to do the
right thing and the right thing is NOT putting a town like
Gettysburg in such a jeopardizing predicament.

Noone has the right to do it. Noone. Not you, not the casino
investors, not the gamblers. Noone.

You, the Gaming Control Board, you are the last line of defense
this town has. A casino is going in Grantville, and it's not
too far away from any spot in central PA. Don't do this to
Gettysburg. Let Gettysburg be Gettysburg, what it's always
been and what, I pray, it will always be. Not a casino town.
An American treasure. PLEASE, hear us. Hear our pleas. Don't
do this. DENY Crossroads their license and their ability to do
with Gettysburg what they will. It isn't right.

Subject:   10lbs of manure in a 5lb bag

Dear Gaming Boardmembers:

Ah music to one's ears and a comment made by a member of the
Straban Township Zoning Board.

In all seriousness, if he can make that comment and visibly be
almost ill at the thought of giving the green light to this
idiocy and I can only imagine how sick to his stomach Ted
Streeter was upon finding out that $1 million dollar "gift" had
more strings attached than the Golden Gate Bridge and turned
out to not be a gift at all but a secession of hoop jumping and
begging...then for God's Sake, FOR GOD'S SAKE, why say
yes?????? Why give them the go ahead?

PA GAMING CONTROL BOARD, are you paying attention? NOONE WANTS
THIS in Gettysburg, oh excuse me, except for the one or two
percent of Adams County residents that are supporting this
joke, NOONE wants this here, not even the ones forced into
giving a yes vote because technically, Xroads had all their i's
dotted and t's crossed.

That is NO reason, NO REASON to bring this madness upon Adams
County. Technically and legally is not good enough, not good
enough to do this to Gettysburg. The outrage continues to
build, the shock and dismay upon hearing the news is always
there.

Even the ones who had to vote yes, most of them don't want it
either but they followed the laws and our laws need to be
changed.

Subject:   Stop.

Dear Gaming Boardmembers,

Hasn't this gone far enough?

Why, WHY is there now a delay in licensing?

Gettysburg should NEVER have come under the gun when PA decided
to introduce casinos into its communities. The way this whole
thing has been handled, I don't think the casinos should be
anywhere in this state and I think we're all going to live to
see the day that the decision to have it here is going to be a
regretable one.

This war in Iraq and getting our soldiers home should be the
focus. The violence in our schools should be the focus. Our
disabled citizens, our elderly...how are casinos going to
benefit these folks? The answer, they aren't. It's going to
suck more money away from those who truly need it. We all know
it.

From Australia to America, everyone knows specifically that
Gettysburg should NOT get this casino. The outrage against
David LeVan and Crossroads is so enormous, I don't think
Gettysburg will ever be the same. We have LeVan and the small
percentage of supporters to thank for that.

You, the PGCB, you have the power, the ability, the duty and
obligation to stop this now. Already the aforementioned damage
is being done because this wasn't ended for Gettsyburg a long
time ago when it should've been done.

The politics and the greed over this whole thing is terrible.
That's what it's all about. There isn't one person, not one,
who doesn't understand that. It needs to stop. You can send a
message that American heritage and the sacrifices of those who
fought for that heritage are not forgotten even after 143 years
pass.

It's more important than a casino.

Don't allow this to be drug out any longer. The Senators have
thrown this into your lap. Do the right thing. End it now.

Respectfully,

Danielle Costa

Subject:   no smoking legislation

Would like to join that anti-smoking in public restaurants
majority of PA state residents in registering a resounding "NO
SMOKING" vote. I've seen it working quite successfully in New
York City and the states of Delaware and California. Can't
think of one good reason to allow 80% of our population to
suffer the health risks of second hand smoke from the other 20%,
anytime. You were voted in because we have great faith in your
dedication to the constituents. Therefore,I beg that you work
diligently to get the "NO SMOKING" legislation on the floor and
voted for ASAP. Thank you.

Subject:   Gettysburg Casino

Dear Gaming Boardmembers:

Seeing that the purpose of these hearings is to determine
community support of casinos in certain communities, then it
should be obviously clear after three gatherings that a casino
in Gettysburg, PA is undeniably not wanted.

The Gaming Control Board is totally justified in denying Chance
Enterprises a gambling license after the overwhelming testimony
given by individuals and organizations alike on three separate
occasions. There is certainly no question in anyone's mind
that a casino in Gettysburg is definitely not wanted but by a
small minority of supporters and that is certainly not enough
to risk the community of Gettysburg and all that it means to so
many across the globe.

I urge and implore the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to end
this now! Please do not let another tourist season go by with
this black cloud hanging over the community of Gettysburg.

We respectfully thank the Gaming Board for their time and
professionalism shown during these hearings. Their staff was
very courteous. Please, continue being the upstanding
individuals you've all shown yourselves to be and look at the
proof you've seen over the course of these hearings. Please,
end this now and deny Chance the license.

Thank you and God Bless,

Danielle Costa

Subject:   Contact your state officials

No Casino Gettysburg.

I would like to know if the legislators are leaving it up to
the PA Gaming Control Board to decide whether or not a casino
is coming to Gettysburg? Why has the House voted 199-0 but
we're not hearing from the Senators on this yet? I've heard
from many, and everyone I've heard from is adamantly against a
casino being placed anywhere near Gettysburg, so why has a vote
not taken place yet?

This should be simple. This should be over already.

I respectfully request your vote on this issue to be a loud and
resounding NO as soon as possible. This whole issue has placed
neighbor against neighbor in the Gettysburg community and it
needs to end now. This is a horrid idea, one that should've
never been born. Please vote No now.
