Subject:   No casino in Gettysburg area

Dear Gaming Boardmembers: Chance Enterprises' only concern is
lining their own pockets. They say they have the population of
Adams County and Gettysburg welfare in mind. The leader of Chance
brought a Harley dealership to Gettysburg some time back. Now try
to go to Gettysburg and have a peaceful weekend without noisy
motorcycles. Hey he's benefitting though!

Subject:   assistance with problem

Sir;
I am writing this letter to you in regards that you might
be able to offer some help or suggestions. My wife, kids and I
moved from Maryland to Mount Wolf and purchased our new home in
January 20 2004. The house was new when we purchased it, and
had a one year warranty. This was our dream home. During the
thaw of 2004, we noticed that the family room located in the
basement started to leak.. We tried to contact the builder, but
we had no luck. I contacted an attorney through the union that
I belong through my employment. The attorney was David
Schaumann located on Market in York. He finally contacted the
builder in August, 2004. The builder, Fred Kay came out in
August and dug down to the foundation and said that he had
fixed the problem. He was supposed to come back and replace the
damaged carpet, but never returned. The problem has since
gotten worst. The attorney said that he done what he could, and
that if we wanted to file a suit with the individuals, it would
cost us anywhere between 1500 to 2000 to retain him. At this
time I can not afford this, and I thought we were covered with
the warranty. I contacted the attorneys general office in
December 2004 and filed a complaint with them. I had to remove
items from the family room because of the damage, and mold. My
daughter has allergies and she has had a respiratory infection
the last couple of weeks. I myself have been sick and missed
work last week due to an upper respiratory illness. I have
pictures of mushrooms growing out of the carpet. The couple
that we purchased the house from is George and Charlene Thomas.
We have no number to contact these people. The address that I
have is 270 Strickler School Road York Pa 17406. We had a
contractor come and give us a estimate in November 2004. He
advised us that the basement need a drain field installed and a
sump pump. Also he stated that the carpet needed to be
discarded and that the sheet rock needed to be removed due to
mold buildup and replaced. I have estimates of all work. The
attorney told us that there was nothing else for him to do,
except file a suit which would cost us 1500 to 2000. I am still
waiting for the attorneys general office to respond. I would
appreciate it very much for any help or suggestions that you
could offer. Thank you very much.
