Dept. of Records Mr. Goppelt, This e-mail will fulfill my promise to update you immediately following the scheduled meeting with my client. After lengthy discussions, it appears that there is solid reasoning behind the fees charged to fulfill requests for information from the records department. Many individuals have paid these costs without complaint and there is no evidence that you have been treated any differently than these individuals. Going forward, I have scheduled a follow-up meeting with MOIS to gain a better understanding of the cost structure related to the computer system. I believe we will be able to meet with you sometime next week to explain my findings and to respond to your concerns. Thank you for your patience.
